Sustainability criteria
Committed, for instance, to banning any harmful products and to cultivating their almond tree groves without irrigation, Melissa and Gilad were awarded the “Accueil Paysan” label for their efforts. They prize authenticity in human interaction and the sharing of work values. Around the house, you will come across the many farm inhabitants in their enormous garden – hens, pigs and goats – and will surely see the horses at work, tending slowly but surely to 50 hectares of garrigue underbrush!
After their efforts, they are always happy to receive attention young and older travellers! The land, spreading on formerly abandoned terraces, produces organic fruit and vegetable, and you can even learn some gardening and harvesting skills.
The building is fragrant with the smells of table d’hôtes foods awaiting the guests. On the menu are cheese, meet, eggs, jams and garden fruit – everything home produced and cooked, of course!
