You’ll enjoy a fully-equipped kitchen, a huge living room, a sunny terrace and a private garden. Lastly, you’ll have the possibility to store your own bicycles in a shed. Don’t hesitate to take them with you to France: quiet beaches and beautiful surroundings are just a ride away!
Sustainability criteria
Elisabeth and David are committed farmers who will be thrilled to share their know-how in organic farming. Their permaculture methods include mixed cropping and mixed farming (with their chicken). They are enthusiastic members of an AMAP network (an association sustainable, small-scale farming), a CPIE network (an environmentalist think tank) and take part in two “Bourse aux graines et plantes locales” (stock exchange for seeds and local plants, some of them rare).
The buildings were renovated with eco-friendly, local materials, such as rock, clay, wood and linen, but also lime coating. Moreover, the farm is self-sufficient regarding water and insulated with hemp and cob.Everything from water to heating is eco-friendly: rainwater harvesting for the WC, gardening and the central heating system, solar panels wood-fired boiler for warm water…
