If you are up for some rustic charm, spend an eco-friendly holiday in Mireilles guest rooms, located on its small family olive grove.
Three guest rooms on two levels: a double room on the ground floor and two triple rooms on the first floor: these two rooms give access to a common terrace overlooking Mont Ventoux. The triple rooms have the third bed on the mezzanine.
Each room has its own bathroom with shower/WC and washbasin. A fan is available in the rooms as well as a mosquito net during mosquito season.
The common room has a kitchenette, equipped with a fridge, oven, microwave and small dishes.
Enjoy the sun on a deck chair, at the garden table or in the hammock. You also have the swimming pool to cool off in on sunny days.
12 years ago, Mireille went organic with her family olive grove. She practices selective sorting, has set up a compost and owns a henhouse. The household cleaning products are eco-labelled or homemade.
Breakfast is organic and the food comes mainly from organic and local agriculture. Water is heated via the solar water heater.
Mireille is also part of the “la Provence à vélo” network, promoting soft mobility in the region. Guests can lock their bicycles in the storage room and view cards containing maps for a possible bike tour.
Throughout the year, it is possible to see Mireille working in her olive grove, where she will be delighted to share her work with you.
Taking the olive tree as a symbol of the Mediterranean to heart, she will explain her culture and the process of producing olive oil in the mill while recounting anecdotes about the history of local agriculture, grafting on her family’s own. Finally, she is a member of the Vaucluse Educational Farms Network.
