Rental description
Franck and Laurence Perronin’s eco-friendly penthouse gives you a most wonderful view of the city of Amboise. It is a perfect mix of old and new that will delight all those who want to delve back into history. It was here where Leonardo da Vinci’s famous work of the city’s castle and town came to be in 1517.
The ground floor consists of a bedroom and bathroom: the ground floor is typical of the region and was used by wine growers in the 18th century. Its current owners refurbished the place so as to restore its original layout. Hand-forged wrought iron steps lead to the floor above. Here you will find modern, ecologically-built, well-lit apartment as well as the exceptional view of the city and the castle of Amboise.
The hostel can accommodate between 4 to 6 people: a double bed in the mezzanine with a view of the castle, two single beds on the ground floor that can also be converted into a large double bed, and a sofa bed that can accommodate one to two other guests in the main room.
