Pleasant and luxurious accommodations in vast castles, manor and country houses: Can they be truly sustainable and ecological? Yes, if one pays attention to certain important details, is careful with regional resources and treats the environment and culture with respect. Four different offers are currently available in this category, three of which are located in the French region of Occitania (in Gaillac, Lascabanes and Ferrières-les-Verreries) and one in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen, more precisely in the commune of Rorschacherberg.

The lodgings presented here, i.e. castle, castle hotel, manor house and country house, each convince with excellent, eco-effective renovation efforts, hosts who are highly committed to their region, as well as other features that are important to us at myecostay in any sustainable accommodation. Whether hosts produce outstanding biodynamic wines, furnish all rooms with natural materials, offer an organic breakfast with ingredients from their own garden, or set up a farm on their property according to permaculture principles: We have taken care in putting together the accommodations in this luxury category to ensure that they meet our high standards — while continuing to make a lodging more than the sum of its parts. We want to create meaningful experiences and bring people together.
Due to the spatial potential of these accommodations, they are suitable both for a relaxed vacation of a small family and for the gathering of larger groups. The organic castle hotel in Switzerland can accommodate more than 20 people, and the large 17th-century country house in Occitania still up to 16 people.
