A hearty welcome from Claude and Elisabeth le Gloanic to their Nordic hut in southern Brittany. The hut offers a place for two, who have their own ecological camping area. Ideal for a couple to getaway and spend some quality time in nature. You can also reach the coast in less than 15 minutes with a car and a decent range of outdoor activities are available for the more active guests.
The wooden hut comprises of a double bed and a table on which meals for two will be served. You will enjoy fresh homegrown fruits, raised free of chemicals. You will also have plenty of time to make yourself comfortable on the terrace. Toilets and showers are located outside the hut.
The hut and campsite is surrounded by a regional park where you can rest and walk in tranquility. In the small town, you will find restaurants and French bakeries. The camping area itself has a diner.
Claude and Elisabeth, two retired nature-lovers, received the Green Key Label certification for their environmental protection standards of their accommodation. The campsite was also the first in Brittany to receive the Green Globe certification. The couple have thus committed themselves to run the estate entirely on renewable energy sources.
For instance, they have installed 240m² of photovoltaics for solar energy, among them the energy-saving lightbulbs. Stored solar power also heats water on the property. LEDs are used to light the compound in the evenings. In addition, organic waste is separated and composted. Water restricting system ensures water conservation and the garden is watered by collected precipitation. Cleaning is done with organic detergents and agents.
For guests who would intend to spend most of their time in the regional park and in town, Claude and Elisabeth kindly suggest to leave their cars at home. There are good connections to and from Vannes, the regional transport hub. Such measures reduce the carbon footprint left by their accommodation.
