Welcome to the first Swiss Historic Hotel in eastern Switzerland! The castle turned eco-hotel is the place for organic fine dining and quality comfort by Lake Constance.
The eco-hotel can also host weddings and feasts. Its rooms either look out toward the Lake or down onto the castle gardens, a part of Switzerland’s natural heritage. where vegetables and herbs for the kitchen are cultivated biodynamically.
Ingredients for the hotel’s cuisine come directly from the biodynamic Demeter garden on the premises. The plant is perceived holistically, meaning the influences of soil, atmosphere, light and heat on the plants are all taken into account.
The Hotelleriesuisse has recognized the hotel’s sustainable engagement with the “Green Living” label. It is also EHC certified.
All its rooms are built from natural material and the walls have been done in natural mineral paint. Wood from the castle gardens is used for in-house furniture. Steam is used to clean the floors as opposed to cleaning agents. Two combined heat and power plants are in operation and the electricity is certified with the prestigious “Naturmade Star” seal. 100% organic linen is used for the terry towelling. The bedrooms are equipped with Hüsler Nest bed systems, for which 100% bio-rubber is used.
The coffee is a pure wild kind (wild picking) and is made from beans that grow in the last remaining mountain rainforests of Ethiopia instead of on a plantation.
